I have spent thousands of dollars on their care there. I have a family emergency and need to fly out of the country before the death of a family member, and they cannot take 15-20 minutes to see my pups for a health certificate to fly. The receptionist was snippy from the beginning of the conversation and told me to "board them somewhere". I begged her to just ask the veterinarian if she could possibly fit them in under the circumstances, she refused to even ask the vet. I pleaded with her to ask the vet, at which point she put me on hold, got back on the phone and said she had asked both veterinarians and they said no, they couldn't see them for 6 weeks. I asked her what the veterinarians names were that she had asked and she said she would not give me their names. She then hung up the phone on me. I called back, waited on hold for 5 minutes and talked to Veronica, I explained the situation to her and pleaded with her to have some compassion and talk to the vet. With an incredibly rude callous tone, she told me, she has had family members dying before and to "figure out where to board them, like she had to". I asked her to understand they have never been boarded and once again to please ask the vet and tell them I will come in at any hour of the night. I was willing to sit outside in my car all night, until the vet has any downtime in order to get the health certificates, and would pay all late night costs. Finally, Veronica said she asked Dr. DeWitt and reported that Dr. DeWitt "did not care about the emergency and would not see them until August." I told her I loved Dr. DeWitt as a vet and couldn't believe that she would have said that or would feel that way. My husband and I are both human doctors, and whenever a patient has an urgent issue, we bend over backwards to fit them in or get them care, especially something so simple as two healthy patients up to date on their vaccines that have always been seen at this clinic. I will search for a vet to do this health certificate and a new vet for all further care.
