If you're looking for psychiatric help, I implore you to look elsewhere. I have never had such overwhelmingly negative experiences with a mental health center. My Dr., who I won't name outright but is named in several other review here, refuses to speak to me AT ALL unless it was during a scheduled appointment. Urgent issue? Too bad. Call 911 or get another doctor. I also did not schedule a follow up on time (totally my fault) and he refused to give me a partial refill so I wouldn't go into withdrawal for the two weeks until our appointment. I admit I made a mistake but his refusal felt more like punishment for violating his rules more than anything. Furthermore, he refused to actually speak to me to explain his reasoning. He was more than happy to hide behind the reception desk since he does not provide a direct contact number.
Uptown Psych does not care about you. They don't care about your extenuating circumstances. They only care about their petty rules and your money. Sure, they might be okay in the day to day but when you really need some compassion, caring and assistance they'll just hang you out to dry. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
