Would not recommend. Recent paying customer with Walker Pest (2021) under their base level coverage. A tenant was seeing Asian Lady Beetles make their way into the home which Walker Pest was being paid to cover. After calling Walker Pest for help, they were unwilling to even come out and look at the property to give recommendations let alone an actual solution. They stated over the phone, there was nothing they could for Asian Lady Beetles. I called up Orkin the week after after trying a few fixes on my end. Orkin's rep had ideas about how to handle the bugs and was happy to schedule an appointment to come out and see the property. Hopefully Orkin wasn't just blowing smoke.

Hi Holly, We did not “leave you hanging” as we did perform the bed bug heat treatment and the follow-ups in a timely manner as we were contracted to do. Our qualified inspector found no signs of live bed bugs at your first follow-up appointment and according to regulations, we cannot treat for bed bugs when there is no evidence of live bed bugs present. However; we did schedule a free chemical treatment once you did have evidence of live bed bugs. At the end of that treatment, our qualified manager found no signs of bed bug activity in the home. Again, we scheduled another free follow-up appointment for a week later. When our manager performed that follow up, he found no live bed bugs and, as referenced above, was unable to do additional treatment. It was at this time that you asked him to leave your home because you were unhappy with the regulations in regards to bed bug treatments. It was after this interaction and several hostile phone calls to our office staff that you posted this review. At this point, we performed your original heat treatment on January 14, a follow-up on January 22, January 29, a chemical treatment on February 3, and a follow-up on February 10 all for no cost. However; since our company does take pride in our work, we did perform another heat treatment for your home on March 1. As you mentioned in your review, the heat treatment would have cost you another $2200, but we did it for free even though you were outside of your 30-day guarantee as sighted in the service contract that you signed for this service.

My wife is actually the one who picked Walker Pest Management several years ago. Like many things we needed to pick a company to handle our termite control as well as a regular routine pest control service. After my indecision my wife asked some friends who they would recommend. Several of them gave her Walker Pest's name and the general consensus seemed to show that the team at Walker Pest was just different from what you get with one of the big companies. We've been treated like friends and family since employing them. Every technician who has been to our home is respectful, courteous, punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about their industry. They always wear shoe covers when they come inside and take precautions not to mess up our hardwood floors. They come out every few months and treat inside and outside of our home. They even service our crawlspace and attic, places I don't even go in. Last winter the technician treated indoors then went into the crawlspace. A few minutes later he was knocking on the door with a concerned look on his face. He said "Mr. McKenzie I really hate to tell you this but you have a pipe leaking in the crawlspace. It's soaked the insulation and and made a mess. I could see he really was concerned for us. I called my plumber out after shutting the water off. When my plumber crawled back out after checking the situation he said it could have been much worse and it was lucky the leak was caught before another freezing cold night. We will always use Walker and we will happily tell everyone we run into that needs their service. They even check in with us a week or two after each service to make sure the service is going good and to see if we are happy with the results. Companies just don't act like Walker Pest Management these days. We are grateful to have found them.
