We Fix Ugly Pools

The Good: They finished the job. The in-house crews were great. The Bad: Poor communication. They claim to not use subcontractors. That was a blatant lie. Many of the subcontractors were not held to the same standard as in-house crews. Crews show up unannounced and let the pets out. They just enter the yard without even ringing the doorbell to let us know they were on sight. They frequently don’t show up when scheduled. They tried to increase the cost of my job by $6,000 and then “discounted” to $2,220 for using two same priced different tiles. Don’t allow work to be scheduled on Fridays - the crews frequently rush on Friday to get done early which results in very poor workmanship. Management lies. As an example, on my sheer descent the pattern calls for stacked tiles, not offset. When I asked about having it corrected, I was told that tiles in pools can not be stacked and must be offset. They said this as if I had never been on line or looked at thousands of pictures of pools where tiles are stacked, not offset. I’m surprised they were able make the statement with a straight face since the spillover on another portion of the pool has stacked tiles. If you ask to be kept informed on when crews will be on sight, you are blatantly told that you are troublesome and they don’t need to communicate at all once the contract is under way. I had asked for a ONCE weekly status update OR 24 hour notice before crews were scheduled both of which were beyond the capabilities of their customer service staff. Staff is rude. They had to redo the tile TWICE, and while it is significantly better, the sheer descent is still wrong. I’m just done fighting with their incompetence in properly doing the job. The tile is at least well installed unlike the earlier attempts. I had been considering having them do the decking and backyard remodel, but the way they handled just resurfacing the pool and replacing the waterline tiles, I decided to go with another, Mirage Landscaping out of Glendale AZ which did a fantastic job. I would not recommend using this company. Every time I look at my sheee descent I’m reminded of the bad experience I had with We Fix Ugly Pools. Their initials really describes the company W(e) F-UP.

Awful experience so far. We were told our project would take apprx two months. Workers do not show up, if they do, it’s once every three weeks. We have called multiple times, no response. Our pool has been partially demo’d now for months and our yard unusable for summer. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.
