Pray that your soon-to-be-ex-spouse hires this firm. I was asked to list my experience with this firm... the first phrase that comes to mind is "entertainingly incompetent." This firm was hired by my now ex-wife to conduct a forensic assessment of my business. They were suggested by my ex-wife's attorney, Michael Spinato, who has to be the biggest pig of a man I've ever seen posing as a lawyer or an alleged human being. I am filing a complaint against him with the Bar association for unethical behavior, namely limerance and malicious prosecution. I was so thrilled that my ex-wife's legal bills were nearly double mine. After having to call Weinberg and Company, because they did not contact me about how to get documents to them, I reached a Ms. Cheng (sp?). She then admonished me about why I did not answer her emails. When I inquired about her email address, finding them in my spam folder, I had asked her- my last name being Polish, spelled "Jaskiewicz", how many emails did she think I received from folks named "Cheng"? She never called me to follow up, only sent letters I was not cooperating with the investigation. Since I had a paperwork-heavy business, and had to access 5 years worth of bank transactions, and sent papers to Whineberg as soon as they arrived. Another girl-genius, Amanda Rashad, associate of Spitano, in writing (not a good career move) sent a letter stating that I had been sending papers daily to Whineberg & Co. and wanted to know when I thought I'd have all the paperwork. Here's where the real fun begins; a few days later, after reading Rashad's letter, my lawyer then received a letter from Whineberg himself stating that his firm had not received any paperwork from me. Without having to write all the details, this letter arrived right after I had been able to ascertain that my ex-wife had stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from me plus, she was stealing my mail-a federal offense (that I did not file. Her life is her own punishment). You think perhaps Spitano and Whineberg had a conversation? Perhaps interestingly enough, the next negotiation my lawyer received from Spittoono was that my ex-wife was willing to drop the forensic examination for a mere $40,000. You may be happy to know the forensic exam was never completed after the judge was informed of the contradictory letters, and I'm also happy to state that morals and ethics do win out in the end. I believe the exam to date cost my ex-wife somewhere between 5-10K. The cost of lying any no redeemable character traits. Please, go elsewhere for your accounting services.
