Wildcats Hockey ?fuels passion? for young people by using the great sport of ice hockey to provide an environment in which kids find something they love and deeply enjoy. When kids fall in love with the game of hockey, the passion for the sport burns inside them and they take on a commitment to mastery of their craft, which sets the stage for them to be receptive to the transferable life lessons of discipline, hard work, teamwork, and perseverance that are essential to develop in order to experience success in hockey, and more importantly in life.

The Best Hockey experience my son has ever had! The Wildcats Hockey Club has been the best youth hockey experience my son has ever had. In fact I?d say its been the best youth sporting experience that he?s been a part of. This season he grew as a hockey player but most importantly he grew as a adolescent boy, and I would contribute this growth to the Wildcats Hockey Club. As a hockey player my son grew tremendously, his skating skills were of particular note. We singed him up for the treadmill skating lessons with Coach Bryce and over 12 weeks he became a much faster and more confident skater. These new skills translated onto the ice and he really seemed to have more fun playing hockey. The Wildcats program is unique because they follow the American Developmental Model (ADM). The practices are unlike any other that I?ve witnessed at other hockey clubs. The Practices are station based and the kids are constantly on the move. As parents I can remember discussing concerns that the kids weren?t getting to practice on a full sheet of ice. However we discovered that in a game situation our kids were much more successful at winning and possessing the puck. Our kids were also much better at passing than other hockey clubs. This led to more scoring chances and better defense during games. Most importantly practice was fun for my son, he loved going to practice. Another great feature of the Wildcats Hockey club was the families. In some organizations the parents can really ruin the entire experience. However with the Wildcats we all got along really well, we?d often hang out and go out for dinners during road games and tournaments. I?ll admit that I was initially very shocked by the investment required to join the club. I can remember saying to my wife that this had better be the best hockey experience my son has ever had. I?m very happy to say that the investment was totally worth it and it was in fact the best hockey experience my son has ever had! My son is very excited about starting next season as a Peewee with the Wildcats Hockey Club!

Our overall experience with the Wildcats Program has been wonderful. Over the last 3 seasons, our son has improved in skill and self-confidence on and off the ice. Each season, Coach Paul has provided us a responsible ran program. No politics. The focus being on our son?s growth. He has provided evaluations at the beginning and end of each season giving our son the opportunity to set goals specific to his skill development and us a roadmap to help our son achieve them. Specific to our son?s team each season, we have been fortunate to be surrounded by parents that believe in the ADM and respect not only the Program Director and coaches but also the game. Our son is Wildcat proud win or lose. His club loyalty, in our opinion, is due to his respect for his coaches and the friendships that he has made with his teammates. Another great year. Thank you Paul!

(No subject) [Draft] This message hasn't been sent. Saved on: Tue 3/21/2017 12:50 AM The Wildcats program has been the ideal development program for our son. We have seen our son progress from an A player to a AAA player in the span of five seasons. The only way that our son would have ever reached his potential was through the training and coaching if the Wildcats coaching staff. As parents, we are most proud of the confidence the Wildcats hockey program instilled in our son. He now knows that with the right coaching, great practice facilities, and hard work - he can be better than he ever thought he could be. That is a life lesson that is hard to achieve with as much clarity and as much fun as ice hockey with the Wildcats Program. Having been in different clubs in Southern California and the Northeast, I can say that there are clear differences with the Wildcats. The first is that the Wildcats embrace the ADM model. The American Developmental Model emphasizes skill development for the long term as opposed to short term goals. While winning games is an important objective, the Wildcats never sacrifices a player's development in order to satisfy the long term development of a player. You may have been part of other clubs, as we have, who shorten benches at the squirt, peewee, and bantam levels every week. Think about what that means for the player who sits on the bench and never reaches their full potential at the age where it matters. Was a trophy at squirt or peewee that important? Our son is now a Midget AAA player on the Wildcats who have reached the playoffs in CAHA and ECEL. There is no way that this would have been possible had he stayed with other clubs and was sat or short shifted due to a mistake during a squirt or peewee game. One additional observation - I have not seen any significant locker room or parent drama in all the years that we have been on the Wildcats. I attribute this to the families that are attracted to the Wildcats. They strive to have their player improve and they strive to win. But never at the expense of character. That goes for their player and for themselves. Finally, I would like to endorse Ben Frank's coaching staff - in particular, Coach Tomas Kapusta. For the past three seasons, Coach Tomas has coached our son and continually pushes for excellence. The practices that he runs are intense and very efficient. The strength and conditioning training coupled with the great training facilities at Riverside and Carlsbad enabled our athletes to outperform our competition on game day. The Wildcats Hockey Program has given the longest lasting gift one could ask for to a young man - Confidence. He now has confidence that he can excel over time if given the chance, given intense training, and a focus on individual and team improvement, while always maintaining character as a core principle.

My Wildcat hockey experience for my son Larkin during the 2016-2017 Pee Wee team was beyond what I was expecting!!! Truly great and my son's youth development throughout the season was remarkable to watch. Larkin looked forward to every practice and game with enthusiasm and his love of the sport grew tremendously. The coaching was excellent and each Coach had a consistent positive approach on every player and in all areas of team development. The culture among the club was an excellent road map for the parents (of any sport) to follow and it ultimately gave all the players a great sports experience as a result. There was never any bad sportsmanship among the players or disparaging comments from parents, coach or referees. It set the tone of the game to be enjoyable to watch! My family is involved in many other sports and our Wildcat hockey is an example in which I wish other clubs could follow. After the season ended Larkin has become a better skater, team player, has more confidence and has increased his all around hockey skills. We look forward to another great Wildcat season in 2017-2018!
