Adelbert Evangelista, MD, is a committed and compassionate physician at the head of Yuma Anti-Aging and Wellness Center. Dr. Evangelista, known fondly by his patients as Dr. E or Dr. Bert, specializes in preventive health but stays on the cutting-edge of traditional, alternative, and complementary therapies to provide his patients with the most up-to-date health options. He has extensive training and is certified in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, one of the most advanced treatments currently being used in altering age-associated disease and symptoms.
Dr. Evangelista earned his medical degree from the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. He went on to complete his residency training in Family Medicine at North Oakland Medical Centers (former Pontiac General Hospital) in Pontiac, Michigan, where he served as chief resident during his senior year.
Dr. Evangelista and his wife, Jem, who is also a physician, moved to Arizona in 2009 and started their private practice, Evangelista Medical Group, where they both continue to see patients and serve the Yuma community.
Dr. Evangelista has held numerous honorable positions over the years. He was President of Yuma County Medical Society from 2014-2017, Chairman of YRMC Credentials Committee from 2017-2019, and is currently Vice-Chairman of the Family Medicine Department at Yuma Regional Medical Centers, a position he has held since 2011. He has been involved in numerous outreach programs, especially to his home country, the Philippines, where he regularly participates in medical missions to the less fortunate regions of the country.
Dr. Evangelista loves to travel, dance, collect sports memorabilia, and is an avid car enthusiast. However, his greatest passion has always been spending quality time with his wife and three kids and sharing his expertise with the patients he takes care of.
