We took a few minutes to talk with Brandon Smith, partner at Dezenberg & Smith, to learn a little more about the business and how they managed to build such an impressive online reputation.

“What bankruptcy should be about is helping people get through a tough situation. It’s basically what was instituted to get rid of debtors prisons, and it’s meant to help people when they don’t have the ability anymore to pay their debts and are being taken advantage of, either through a garnishment taking 25 percent of their wages or somebody trying to take their house or their car or whatever it is. We just try and help them through that. We try to save as much as we can for them so we can give them a fresh start. Sometimes, half our job is basically being a counselor.”

Ninety percent of the people who come in for a consultation will tell us they found us by googling.”
