Not Your Average Acupuncturist and Chiropractor
Dr. Taejeon Shin, the owner of Kansas Acupuncture and Chiropractic Clinic, took some time to chat with us about the business’ awesome online reputation.
First things first, we asked Dr. Shin how he and his team set themselves apart from their competition. “In my opinion, what makes me different is my attitude. I don’t take anything for granted. I’m appreciative of everything. I think everybody is so precious and everything I have and experience is valuable,” Dr. Shin said. “I love my job as a chiropractor and acupuncturist, so my life is full of happiness. And I want to share that with my patients. I am so thankful for every patient that comes to me. From what I see from my patients, much of their physical pain comes from emotional issues, stress issues, relationship issues, and societal issues. That’s why giving encouragement, sharing happiness, and showing appreciation are a very important part of treatment. Then patients open up to you and open up their mind, too.”
We were also very interested in finding out how Dr. Shin and his team differentiate themselves from their competition. He told us, “As I mentioned before, my mission is to spread happiness and joy to the world, at least in my community. I’m always happy and joyful so when I’m talking to my new patients in one-hour sessions, I always tell them, ‘You are worthy, you are beautiful, and you are adorable.’ I often see many patients cry when they hear that. People lose themselves in their busy lives under a lot of stress they forget to think about how they are important and how they are worthy. Feeling important and happy have a huge connection in getting better and well.
Building Success By Treating People Like Family
Our team finished up by asking Dr. Shin what he considers to be the Kansas Acupuncture and Chiropractic Clinic secret to success. According to him, it’s actually not all that complicated. He said, “My secret is simple. I treat my patients like my family. If I send my family to any healthcare professional, I would want them to really take care of my family well. That is what I do. I take care of my patients like I’m taking care of my wife, my children, my father, my mother, my brother, and my sister. I believe that we are one big family in this community. My family has been in the Kansas City area for almost 4 ½ years and we are very happy here. I love my community and I want to serve them very well.”
