We were excited to learn all about Midtown Barbers and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner and Master Barber, Chad Grounds.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Midtown Barbers stand apart from its competitors. Chad told us about their incredible service, which has been called “Best of the 405” for two consecutive years, as well as “Best New Business in OKC” in 2018 and “Best Business Owner” in 2018! Chad told us that from the moment you arrive, you are treated with the highest level of customer service. When you walk in, you are offered a snack and a beverage, which includes coffee, cold soda, water, a cold beer, or even scotch or bourbon. You can then relax in one of several electric recliners to watch one of the four TVs, which are playing some type of sports or news. Midtown Barbers offers you a true getaway and knows how to treat you right.
Building Success And Giving Back
In addition to building the kind of online reputation that any small business would envy, Midtown Barbers has spread the word about who they are and what they do the old-fashioned way, by relying on word of mouth. They also find ways to give back to their community, like by working with a mentorship program, which Chad told us a bit about:
“Midtown Barbers is a main sponsor of a mentorship program at a local boys’ group home. These boys have committed a variety of crimes and are serving time. We go in several times a year to do haircuts and encourage them to clean up their acts and become productive God-fearing citizens.”
