Not Your Average Dance School
Brittany Nielsen, the owner of The Reno Empire, generously gave us a few minutes of her time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets The Reno Empire apart from the many other dance schools and studios in Nevada. Here’s Brittany’s response:
“We are an adult-based studio; while most other studios in the area are geared toward younger generations. Almost all of our classes are 14 and over. We are known for our hip hop dance classes but teach a variety of different classes.”
Brittany went on to tell us that The Reno Empire is a fairly new dance studio that was opened in 2017.
We also wanted to know why they do what they do at The Reno Empire and how they work to make the world a better place. Brittany told us that their goal is to build their community one class at a time.

When we asked Brittany about The Reno Empire’s secret to such a strong online reputation, she said:
“We are very active on social media by posting videos and photos. I’m in the studio every day recording video that I try to get out to the public. Our great reviews also have a lot to do with our very helpful instructors.”

“Our instructors are very involved in the community and have been dancing most of their lives. As an organization, we are very big on community involvement. We try to pick a different non-profit every month, put out a flyer and offer free classes for a day. We will ask for donations for the non-profit if people can help give back. We call this ‘Empire Gives Back.’”
