Not Your Average Event Planner
We were excited to learn all about how DYV Events has been able to build such an impressive reputation, so we sat down with the owner, Michelle Stewart.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes DYV Events stand apart from their competitors. Michelle told us that one thing that sets them apart is her background — she is a mechanical engineer turned event planner. She builds events with her clients by bringing tools and templates to the table. With her background, she is able to create all different kinds of events and experiences. After eight years in business, DYV Events has served all sorts of clients, like corporate events, non-profits, weddings, universities, and fashion shows. Michelle says that they are focused on taking care of all the details from beginning to end.
We asked Michelle about their business mission, and she reiterated the fact that they work hard to make sure that every client’s experience is personalized. She said:
“[We are] Design Your Vision (DYV) — each client is so different, so we tailor each event directly towards the clients.”
Building Success Through Networking
When we asked Michelle about some of the ways DYV Events has managed to market themselves over the years, she told us that networking is key. Since they work with such a broad spectrum of groups and events, it is important for them to get their name out into the community. Michelle also shared that they have begun to host workshops! She is passionate about spreading the knowledge she’s learned over the years, and has started with hosting workshops to teach couples how to plan weddings. She is also developing a workshop for non-profits.
