Top Rated Local® is pleased to announce that Nanaquaket Yoga Studio is an award winner for fitness centers in 2019.

If you are looking for a community-based yoga center, look no further than this award-winning company!

Nanaquaket Yoga Studio has received many overwhelmingly positive reviews across four different verified sites with an average rating of 4.93 stars, earning them an impressive Rating Score™ of 98.30 and two 2019 Top Rated Local awards for ranking as one of the top 100 businesses and one of the top three fitness centers in Rhode Island!

Here’s just one of their many five-star reviews:

“You’ll be hard-pressed to find another yoga studio as welcoming and caring of others’ needs and well-being. The variety of classes and instructors gives you a great place to tackle all your yoga needs.” – J.B.

It is because of excellent reviews like this that Nanaquaket Yoga Studio is now able to call themselves a Top Rated Local award winner!

Not Your Average Fitness Center

We were excited to learn all about Nanaquaket Yoga Studio and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Rachael Frodyma.

The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Nanaquaket Yoga Studio stand apart from its competitors. Rachael told us about their inclusive, beginner-friendly studio:

“We are not a typical studio; we welcome all beings of all shapes and sizes. You don’t have to look like an Instagram model dressed in Lululemon from head to toe. We take all newcomers for a tour and chat with them about why they are coming, getting to know about their previous experience and what their expectations are. We offer lots of gentle and beginner classes for the community.”

Building Success And Giving Back

In addition to building the kind of online reputation that any small business would envy, Nanaquaket Yoga Studio has spread the word about who they are and what they do by finding ways to stay involved with, and give back to, the community. Rachael told us that they just ran a summer program on Thursday evenings that was donation-based, with all proceeds going to The Moon and Back, a nonprofit that helps families and children born with substance abuse. They are also involved with The Fly Foundation, which gives young adults financial support if diagnosed with cancer. They recently hosted a free yoga on the beach event, where about 100 people got to participate. They also partner with a local coffee shop, Coastal Coffee Roasters. With this partnership, they strive to get people to put the phone down, do some yoga, and then grab a cup of coffee. This coming Saturday, Nanaquaket Yoga Studio will be going to Warren, Rhode Island, and teaming up with Nectar De La Vida. This will be a yoga class followed by a session with a nutritionist from Nectar De La Vida. Nanaquaket also offers free yoga classes for employees of the Nature Conservancy. Be on the lookout for their upcoming event at The Somerset open-air market, where they will do free yoga on the lawn!

Rachael also wanted us to bring attention to a few other organizations they partner with. She said that their studio is full of animal lovers and that one of the teachers does dog training, called Eye to Eye. It is for dogs who need some behavioral guidance. She also wanted to give a shoutout to One Dog at a Time, which takes in mill puppies and dogs that are going to be euthanized. Rachael will house them until she finds a home for them within the community.

There are many businesses out there that are looking to build as impressive a reputation as Nanaquaket Yoga Studio has managed to. We asked if Rachael could share any expert advice with these companies. Here’s what she had to say:

“Be open to feedback and constructive criticism.”

Congratulations to Nanaquaket Yoga Studio for being a 2019 Top Rated Local award winner, and special thanks to Rachael for taking the time to speak with us!
