Not Your Average Photographer
We were excited to learn all about how Ken Doll Photography has been able to build such an impressive reputation, so we sat down with the owner, Ken. The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Ken Doll Photography stand apart from their local competitors. Ken shared:
“We’re always evolving. We continue education for all of our staff. This is a business but it’s also my passion. I love opportunities to learn more and better myself. I take a creative angle on all of my photo shoots. I shoot for me and what I envisioned. That creates stunning pictures.”
We asked Ken to share a bit about his business’ mission. Here is his thoughtful response:
“In this day and age, everything is instant. Everyone likes a photo for half a second and then it’s gone. I still feel that professional and print photography is important. People often don’t have anything physical to hold on to, to reflect on. People’s memories are getting buried under other photos. We want to create something professional and beautiful for people to display on their walls for years. We want to help people preserve their memories.”
Ken also shared with us that his business is FAA licensed for drone photography, and they work with the Capper Foundation and noTO.
Building Success Through Passion

“For photographer’s: Learn your craft and your gear. Also, try to learn how to do business. You need to know not only what you want to do, but what you need to do. In general: You’re going to work twice as hard than you will in a 9-5. Keep in mind why you’re doing it and why you’re working hard.”
