Everything about this service was awful, from start to finish. I partly blame myself for not properly researching reviews prior to ordering from Ketoned Bodies, and there are a lot of negative reviews about this service out there, but I was short on time and needed to order food and they looked like they had a good selection of meals to choose from. The first problem I had was that when I placed my order on a Friday, it said that it had been placed in time for a Monday delivery. Monday came and went and I received no notification of shipment, so I reached out to customer service, and they said actually it would be a Friday delivery. I wasn't the happiest about that because delivery timing had factored into my decision of what service to order from, but I couldn't do anything about it at that point so I just waited for my Friday delivery. Well, Friday came and went and I still didn't receive my order. So I reached out again, but got no response. I had to reach out a total of three times before I got someone to respond and tell me my order was delivering the FOLLOWING Friday, so a full two weeks from when I had originally ordered. At this point I was livid because I had wanted the meals leading up to my wedding, because I was short on time and didn't have time to be meal prepping and cooking. By the time all of this was figured out, they had auto charged my account for a second order. I reached out to them to tell them how unhappy I was that I had been charged at this point for two deliveries, but had yet to receive either, but received no response from them. I immediately cancelled my account, but decided to keep the second order, as it would arrive in time for the last week before my wedding and I just didn't have time to think about making meals. Two weeks after I placed my original order for my first delivery, the box finally arrived. First off, it was literally falling apart. If there had not been some sort of foil cooler bag inside, my meals would have been falling out the sides. The box was extremely thin cardboard, and the cooler bag was obviously not insulated enough to keep the dry ice from evaporating too fast, and the whole box was damp and soggy and falling apart. When I opened it, half of the meals were no longer sealed. Lids were cracked open, some of the food had fallen out inside the box. Considering how much this service costs, I was positively furious. I immediately reached out to their customer service. I had to follow up again before I got a response. The response I received from them was literally just this: "Very sorry for the mishap. Sometimes Fedex can be very harsh with handling of the boxes. Wish we had more control over this but we do not. So if we refund you $100 will that make you happy?" There was literally not even a hello, that was the entire message. I responded that I was not happy so far with any part of this service but that a partial refund was a start at trying to make it right. That was two months ago and I have yet to receive another response or the promised $100 refund, despite following up with them again asking what happened with that. I cannot believe just how awful the ordering process was, the shipping quality, how unresponsive and rude customer service was, how they charged me again before I had even received my first order, and how poorly the food was packaged. Half of it was a health hazard and had to be thrown away as it wasn't sealed. And the second order was exactly the same as the first, box falling apart, half the food broken open and unsealed. I am furious at how much I paid for this service to have such a terrible experience. I am going to be filing a claim with my credit card company to try and get some of my money back, since the company obviously doesn't care about taking care of their customer.
