Before finding out about this I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to receive the help I needed for my disabilities and that included emotionally, which my pets which are my family, do nothing but assist and distract me from the disabilities. This is a blessing and what makes America so great, especially when you’ve served and felt it might have gone unnoticed. Programs like this show that your service wasn’t without notice and that help is out there, usually all it takes is picking up the phone. Adjusting since I’ve been out of the military has been hard but now knowing I won’t be discriminated against for needing a service animal or even en emotional support animal, makes me feel much more comfortable and adjusting back to civilian life
