Fred L. Lake & Co., Inc. is located in Dallas, Texas. The founder, Fred L. Lake, passed on a legacy of excellence and creativity that is very much alive in today’s operations. Owned by the Lake family up through the late 1980’s, the company was purchased by its current owner, David Atwell, in 1992 with the goal of revitalizing the business. Mr. Atwell was so impressed by the company’s incredible stamina and reputation, he opted to keep the name intact. The Fred Lake Company and Mr. Atwell were honored by the Dallas Historical Society in 2002 with a “Cornerstone Company” designation.

I am blown away by the team at Fred Lake. I reached out and sent some sample paper (as requested) for use with one of their embossers and received a helpful reply back with the next steps in the process. I'm so used to people not reading my emails in full (or at all really), so when I got a response from the rep saying she'd looked up the paper I wanted to use and reviewed the artwork I sent, I almost fell out of my chair. The online ordering process was super easy, production time was spot on, AND she checked in to make sure I'd received my order. Will forever and always do business with Fred Lake, THANK YOU Karla :)

Would get the desktop model next time. The pocket version is absolutely too short to get a good grip on. Can't get a good imprint without using both hands to squeeze, because you can only get two fingers on the bottom without crumpling the edge of the paper you are embossing. I ended up using a crescent wrench to extend the operating handle and holding the embosser down with my left while levering the crescent wrench with my right. Awkward to use that way, but it works to get an adequate rise in the paper.

Karla was top notch. Not only was she very knowledgeable, she was courteous and even gave me suggestions on ordering the correct configuration on an item that was special ordered and HAD to be correct. Great experience.

Embosser ordered for pastor as a Christmas gift. Were very helpful when I told them I was unable to design what I wanted on line, was talked through the entire order process. Came quickly. Embosser exceeded all my expectations. Very well built and stamped beautifully. Will definitely order more from them.
