the PA did not help me feel safe or comfortable. She asked me a question and as I was answering she started reading her laptop. I explained that I prefer to have her full attention I'm sharing. She looked up and I started sharing again.. but it wasn't long and she was reading the computer screen again. After several such requests she got frustrated and canceled our appointment. I was stunned. Really? I'm trying to let you know how you can help me....and this is your response.

If you have been prescribed controlled medications by previous doctors, He will treat you like a drug addict and force you off medications that have for many years been proven effective in your treatments. He is unconcerned about how the sudden reductions and removal of medications will have on the individual's well-being or their livelihood. If you try to explain how his decisions are having negative affects on your life, He will tell you can find another provider, or accept the new medications (also controlled) you told him you didn't want. He won't tell you any details of what new medications he will be prescribing unless you directly question him. Giving the clear impression that he decided on the spot. That is further clear when he sends in something completely different than what he said he would. He will also not tell you anything more about the perscriptions, such as the Strength, dosage /instructions, etc. You get to find that information out if/when he gets around to actually sending in the perscriptions. Something requiring the patient to to call every other day for over 2 weeks after the appointment requesting them to send in the rxs as they were supposed to. And then deciding he will only after making you go out of your way to take yet another drug test he decides he needs to replace the one from last month when he did the exact same thing. Now claiming that you never actually did it the month prior. Nevermind the fact that you have to provide the sample in their office and they charged the insurance.... It is shameful how he talks to a person who he decides is an drug addict. Doesn't matter the person. Even a person like myself who has worked in the medical field for almost 10 years. He is the type that I have seen before. If a person is prescribed controlled medications, his first approach is to assume a substance abuse problem and treat them as a drug addict, instead of a person who being treated for a legitimate reasons. . guilty before proven innocent. Seen it towards patients before when working and seen it directed towards me occasionally as the patient. I am sad to say that after all the years, he is one the worst to do so, and he is supposed to help people's mental health? It is a disgusting way to treat people. He has proven his motivation in not about helping people.
