I recently had the misfortune of going through the hiring and interviewing process at PadSplit, and to say it was a complete disaster would be an understatement. From start to finish, this experience left me feeling frustrated, disheartened, and utterly unvalued as a candidate. Allow me to outline the numerous flaws that plagued this woeful journey. First and foremost, the issue of ghosting and lack of communication by PadSplit's employers cannot be ignored. After investing an incredible amount of time and effort, 4 rounds of interviews, EVEN RECEIVING A VERBAL JOB OFFER. I eagerly awaited any sort of response. Days turned into weeks but I heard nothing. It's incredibly disheartening and unprofessional to have potential employers simply disappear into thin air, leaving candidates hanging without any update or closure. The sheer lack of courtesy displayed by PadSplit's hiring team is simply inexcusable. The interview process was disorganized and haphazard at best. The second interview was with a guy in his early 20s who couldn’t answer any of my questions about the company and overall was extremely unprofessional. It was abundantly clear that little thought had gone into tailoring the interview to the specific role or understanding the candidates' qualifications. Furthermore, the communication during and after the interview was abysmal. Promised feedback and updates were nowhere to be found. Despite following up multiple times, I was met with silence. It's incredibly demoralizing to invest time and effort into an interview only to be completely disregarded in the end, especially when you’re told you’re a great fit for the company and you’ve got the job. To add insult to injury, I couldn't help but notice the lack of professionalism throughout the entire process. Communication throughout the entire process was awful, making it difficult to take the company seriously. It was evident that attention to detail and basic communication skills were sorely lacking at PadSplit. In conclusion, my experience with PadSplit's hiring and interviewing process was a train wreck from start to finish. The employers' ghosting and lack of communication demonstrated a complete disregard for candidates and their time. The disorganized interviews and lack of feedback further highlighted the company's incompetence in conducting a professional hiring process. I strongly advise any job seekers to approach PadSplit with extreme caution, as this experience left me with a bitter taste and a strong desire to steer clear of their unprofessional practices.

As a host, this company failed to keep my investment secure. They never reimbursed me for damages to my property. DONT USE!

App will Charge Fees without informing you and then hit you with late fees on top of it, which $25 dollars for each day of late fees is ridiculous. This is meant to help those that are having a hard time finding affordable houses and this is steep, that's literally a few days of healthy food choice groceries for people. I was sent a friend referral as I needed a place quick and I used it, it has been over two months since I started living here and after many calls and "I will get it escalated to a manager for review" this is out right irresponsible. I have heard absolutely nothing from them about it, even though I have been told that I will receive updates. Me and the Referrer have not received the $50 in rent credit at all. This company will say to your face its about affordable housing and Slap everyone with a fee for 1 person not cleaning after themselves before the "Maids" get here. There is no evidence even given to the managers that the place was "Clean" before the maids get there. Seems weird that we even get charged for "Maid services" when there is nothing said about it before signing up. I wasn't even here for a few days before the "Maids" arrived as I was out of town, I am not cleaning someone elses mess or getting charged for not cleaning it after I decide to go out of town for whatever reason. Not to mention that before I moved in the dishwasher was removed, stupid if you want no dishes in the sink at all times, The person who removed it did it incorrectly and we had a water leak that we got charged to fix. I wasn't even there when they took it out, just when they fixed the leak from improper removal. I am not a contractor and all it takes is a simple google search or youtube video look up to do this correctly. All the floors are completely warped and parts of the flooring is literally coming up, this is not worth almost $700 a month. Before this I had a 2 br 2 bath Apartment for $700, The owner just switched hands and he decided to move everyone out, and it wasn't perfect but it was way better than this place. Up until recently we didn't even have locks on our personal rooms, so anyone could have just walked in and taken anything of mine they wanted. I am already missing several cooking utensils and I have no forks, spoons or knifes as they have all been stolen by the padmates. "Non Smoking houses" Every roommate aside from me and one other smoke in the house. I will often go to the restroom and there are Cigarillo packaging and the Restroom smells of Smoke. Not just tobacco either. These people are doing illegal activity in the house and there is nothing I can do but a "call out" If I call the police I could get arrested just for living in the same house as drugs. They constantly leave their "roaches" on the Porch in plain view!!!! The Padmates often have guests that is completely against the rules, but when I invite my padmate who is a friend in my room for a movie or dinner, we get snarky comments about "knocking boots" or something similar. I have openly been called a hooker and proustite by my padmates, which is not the case at all There is no communication between padmates if there is any kind of issue or they want to wash clothes ect. There are 8 of us living here with 2 bathrooms as well, which is unreasonable. I can't wash clothes for whatever reason due to them not communicating or leaving their clothes in the washer and dryer for however long they feel like. I am not touching someones items, as to me its a sign of disrespect and I am not getting blamed for things of theirs going missing. My room is tiny, there is only one air vent and they put the bed on top of it, and there is no way me with my health issues can move the bed. Even bringing a fan to put into the room the room is easily the hottest room in the house, I have even gotten comments on how hot my room is by just opening the door with a roommate walking by.

I clicked on a link advertising their Las Vegas listings and once I paid they had NO listings available at ANY price range. It was a lie. When I reached out to support they emailed back that I should look outside of the Vegas area as they don't have anything yet and said that I am unable to get a refund... So false advertising and no refund. They were pretty snobbish about it with no remorse. I found out you're also not allowed to see units before you move in either. I have had good luck with Spareroom instead though! Be careful with Padsplit!

This is the worst excuse for “housing” you could ever utilize. It’s essentially Airbnb meets Section 8. You’ll be surrounded by mentally unhinged filthy hobos who have no regard for the next person. My advice is to use it to save as much money as possible and get out quick! It’s unsafe especially for women! Hosts and Padsplit team do nothing about reports. Demon possessed roommates, mental health episodes, that’s not even the tip of the iceberg. I suggest documenting everything and suing them if you have any issues.

They don't allow children in the home. I was told I can bring my kid. They waited a month later to tell me their policy change and that I had to find somewhere else for my child to go . The most rudest and disrespectful thing someone could ever say to me.

I appreciate what Padsplit does but people need to be aware of what they are getting into. In the first place they say "Stay as long or as short as you want". Not true. You have to spend at least one month in a Padsplit or they will fine you two weeks fees for moving out early. This means that if you move in to a Padsplit and find things are going on in the house that make you uncomfortable, you are still financially on the hook for a month. And despite the fact that there is not supposed to be indoor smoking in Padsplits, most of these people smoke in the house especially when it is cold outside and if you report it to Padsplit they won't do anything about it...so if you are a non smoker moving into a Padslpit is a very iffy situation.
