I used this company for a long-distance move. You have to understand that this is basically a freight broker, meaning that they sell people who are moving space in a freight truck. The truck will then be loaded with freight and shipped along with your items. All items are separated by a barrier and partition, but that is what this company did for me. The trucking company they used for me was Estes. When I booked this, the booking agent was very helpful. He made sure there was space available in front of my house and my destination to accommodate the truck. The gentleman did a home inventory and made a recommendation of space, but I bought two extra linear feet to make sure I had enough space for my items. The price that was quoted was the cheapest I had found in my search of multiple companies. The reservation was the easiest part of this process. When the second agent (not the booking agent) called to confirm the space and drop-off location, he stated that I would need a parking permit from my city to park the truck on my residential street. I asked why this requirement was not stated in the booking phone call. I was warned that I was speaking to this second agent on a recorded line. I said that I was sure that the first phone call was also recorded, so they may want to check that recording for this additional obstacle put in my path four days before my move date. The agent finally agreed that I didn't need the "required" parking permit. When I booked, the agent explained that the truck had to be left overnight or Uload (not the freight company I found out) charged an extra $150 fee for same-day pickup. What was not explained is that the drop-off window was 4 hours. Yes, a promised time of between 8am to noon. I had to schedule my moving help after noon because Uload was not sure when the truck would arrive. The truck arrived around 10 AM. When Estes dropped off the truck, the driver wanted to know when the truck was going to be picked up. I explained that it would be ready by this evening, but I am avoiding an extra $150 fee. He's the one who told me that was not Estes but only Uload. He said I could call dispatch of Estes to see if they would do a same-day pick up. Estes dispatch would not stating that if I reschedule the pickup, I'd have to call Uload. The truck did arrive at the destination within the time period promised; the promised timeline is 5-7 business days and arrived in 6. Again, the agent called me stating that he needed a parking permit for my destination, stating that it was a "requirement" of the freight truck company and that the truck would not be delivered until I sent it to him. I told him then, by contract I have three business days to take possession of the truck and Uload requires that the truck be left overnight, so Uload was not getting the truck for four business days. He tried to argue that I would be charged, and I said that is what his contract said and Uload could not charge me. Of course, the "required permit" was again not required. When the agent called to schedule my drop off, they had no availability until the fourth day from arrival at the destination any way. I did receive a refund for space not used, so I cannot question their honesty when measuring the amount of space I used in the truck. I did take pictures of measurements for documentation that I did not use the amount of space I purchased. I had read reviews after I booked and paid a deposit, that this company will try to nickel and dime the mover. I may have been overly defensive and skeptical after this. I probably would not use this company again due to inconsistency in communication between booking agents and dispatch agents. I personally felt that Uload kept trying to put up hinderences to charge me more money by lengthening the time that my items were on the freight truck or delaying drop off/pick up. Some of the additional fees are listed below: $150 same day drop off/ pick up $250 redelivery fee (both for drop off / pick up $150/hr wait time fee for the driver $100 rescheduling fee $63/day storage fee if possession not obtained within 3 business days Just remember that if you get what you pay for. You must be your own advocate not to be upcharged for things that are thrown at you at the last minute. They are the professionals, and rely on the movers' ignorance to charge their additional fees.

ULoad is a SCAM, in my opinion!! Here is what happened to my husband & me. We reserved trailer way in advance (30 days +) of our move to another state. Put down $250 deposit to secure quoted price. I refer to this as phase "we got you now either way sucker"!! We originally spoke w Manny Saddiqq (646.918.8924), once we were reeled in, then BRIAN BAILEY, the true SCAMMER took over and began to explain that the total balance was due upon "drop" location. Well Manny advised balance was due at delivery location. We disputed this and was told that our call was recorded, they reviewed recorded call, can we agreed to such. No so, and we were never advised that call was being recorded. I take very good notes when conducting business and did not find this to be so in my notes. In my opinion, because we were not advised we were being recorded, isn't this illegal? Anyway, we cancelled the trailer and that was an additional $175. So BRAIN BAILEY and ULOAD profited $450 w/out doing anything, other than running a total scam, in my opinion. They slowly bang the nails into the coffin before you realize that they are burying you alive. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Do not do business with this company. We attempted to plan a move with ULoad and ended up losing $250 and scrambling to make new arrangements at the last minute. ULOAD IS NOT THE SERVICE THAT THEY REPRESENT THEMSELVES TO BE ON THEIR WEBSITE OR OVER THE PHONE. At no point during our interactions did ULoad tell us that they were moving brokers and not a moving company Indeed, this fact is completely omitted from their website and was buried within the first contract that we signed with them. This means that they do not provide any of the services that they purport to on their website. In our case, we were told by ULoad to secure the necessary parking permits for the moving truck. After talking to both our alderman and the police department, we were told that no Chicago resident could apply for a parking permit for a truck of that size. The permit could only come from a company registered with the Department of Transportation. However, ULoad is a broker and could not secure the permit, nor could they put is in touch with the actual people who would be hauling our furniture, and thus we were not able to secure parking and had to cancel the reservation at our expense. Our experience with customer service while trying to resolve this issue was horrendous. About two weeks before our move, after speaking with the alderman's office, we realized that the freight company itself would need to apply for the permit and asked ULoad for assistance in contacting them to make the necessary arrangements. We were told that we could not contact the freight company and that everything would be fine. One week later (a week before our move date), we began receiving incessant calls from unknown, 877 numbers without any voicemails. The calls were from a person at ULoad who we had never encountered. The situation was so bizarre that we began to believe we were being scammed. The next day, when we called ULoad to confirm our final contact, we were told that we had to pay them an additional $175/hour in order to complete the move. We were shocked and immediately cancelled the reservation. We lost our non-refundable deposit, but at that point it felt like our only options were to walk away from the deposit or be scammed by people who already had our credit card number. If you are considering doing business with ULoad, please please do your research. They are not a moving or truck rental/driving service, as they represent themselves to be on their website. They are middlemen, who make money by connecting you with an actual shipping company, which you can do on your own. We acknowledge that we signed a contract stating that our deposit was not refundable, but buyers beware. You are much better off just renting a UHaul yourself or using a reputable van line.

Hired this company to move boxes only from western NY to Cape Coral, FL. The price was reasonable. No problem with the truck or the driver. However, I was thoroughly disgusted with the company contact named BRIAN BAILEY. I can find NOTHING nice to say about him at all. The more I dealt with him, the more insecure I felt about the whole deal! I initially paid a $250 deposit that was charged to my VISA debit card immediately. I was asked at the time that the deposit was paid, if I was going to be using the same card when I paid the balance. I replied that I wasn't sure which card I would be using for the balance, I might use another card. The balance was to be paid before the truck picked up the boxes. I received a bill the day before the boxes were picked up. However, since I decided to use a different card for the balance, I wasn't happy with the bill for the balance. The company wanted me to ok a charge for the deposit and the remaining balance on the second card. I had already paid the deposit and it had already been charged to the first card. I didn't feel comfortable with the wording, so I called the company. I expressed my concern to BRIAN BAILEY, who then accommodated me by sending two separate bills, one for the deposit put on the first card, and another bill for the balance which was to be billed to the second card. Fine, I signed the necessary paperwork. The next day the truck arrived, and we loaded the boxes. I would receive the boxes in Cape Coral within 5-7 days. Here's the part where I become completely unhinged. I get a call from BRIAN BAILEY on 9/30/19 to set up the delivery of my boxes. Keep in mind ULOAD HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID BY ME. MY CARDS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CHARGED! He then tells me that before my boxes can be delivered, he will need a copy of the front and back of both credit cards, and a copy of my drivers license. I BECAME ENRAGED! NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I DONE A TRANSACTION WITH MY CREDIT CARD, WHERE THE COMPANY HAS REQUESTED THIS INFORMATION! This is unheard of and totally unacceptable to me! I gave this POS WHAT HE WANTED, only because he had me backed into a corner, because he had my boxes!!!!! I will post this everywhere I possibly can on the internet, to warn people about this company and their crooked scamming ways! When the truck driver delivered my boxes this morning, I told him about this, and he totally agreed that this practice was very suspicious!!!! He also thought there was some scamming going on!!!!!! ULOAD, rest assured that YOU HAVENT HEARD THE LAST FROM ME ABOUT THIS!!!! YOUR COMPANY HAS SOME SERIOUS EXPLAINING TO DO!!!
