“I got into medicine to help people,” she said, when asked what her secret to success is, “I don’t give false promises. I try to help everyone that comes in. If I can’t help them, I will recommend another solution. I believe in running an honest business.”
The difference between Maya’s practice and others lies mostly in her well-rounded experience. “I speak Spanish and, in [addition] to my acupuncture degree, I have an exercise science degree. Therefore, I have extensive experience working in rehab settings such as physical therapy, chiropractic, and fitness facilities.
