We were excited to learn all about N8 Barber Shop and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, N8.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes N8 Barber Shop stand apart from their competitors. For N8, it’s all about the relationships formed in his shop. He told us about his incredible team and how well they work together to create a warm and friendly place where people can show up and feel taken care of. He shared:
“I’m just trying to be myself. My grandfather was a barber for 58 years, and he taught me a lot. It’s about how you treat people… It is a full-on experience right when they enter the shop. Our shop has a family atmosphere. I can come here if I’m having a bad day and just experience all good vibes.”
We also asked N8 to tell us a bit about his business’ mission. Once again, for N8, it’s all about others and the way he and his team are able to reach out to the community. He said:
“Our number one mission is to stay focused on the community. Whether that means expanding or teaming up, there are so many different routes [to stay connected].”
N8 told us that one of the ways they stay involved in the community is by donating backpacks to children in need. They also know that many people who come in for a cut really need someone to talk to and will treat the barber’s chair like a therapy session. His staff are always ready to have those conversations, and look forward to those deeper chats with their clients.
Building Success by Taking Care of the Customer
N8 Barber Shop has earned an incredible reputation, and N8 says that the cuts speak for themselves. We wanted to know about some of the ways they have grown their business and gotten their name out. N8 told us that they use an online booking system that makes it easy for clients to both set up their appointment and to leave a review. “Everybody has different techniques, so you need to remember that it’s all about relationships. When you go out to a restaurant, how are you greeted? It’s all part of bringing the clientele back. You need to remember their names. All four of our barbers know everyone’s names and always shout out hello to them.”
