We wanted to know what makes Mississippi’s number one barber shop so special, so we took a few minutes to talk with the owner, Chris Newson.
The first question we had for Chris was what makes Oasis Grooming Barber and Beauty Spa unique compared to their competition in Mississippi. Chris pointed to the consistency of their haircuts, the hours they are open and the fact that they are always punctual about keeping appointments; although, they do accept walk-ins as well. He added:
“The environment speaks for itself as well. We have a great staff that is family oriented.”
Chris went on to tell us that he comes from a family that has always done hair, and he started cutting hair at home. He never thought he’d be cutting hair, but decided to go to barber school.
