Not Your Average Barber Shop
We were excited to learn all about Shy’s Barber Shop and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Patrick Shy.
Shy’s Barber Shop opened in August of 2018, and though they may not have been around for long, they have quickly become a neighborhood favorite spot! Shy’s is a more traditional, no-nonsense, straightforward barbershop. They offer a more intimate, one-on-one experience than the corporate shops provide. Patrick himself is a third generation barber, and before opening Shy’s, he taught at a barber school. He said that his whole life is nothing but knowledge in this industry.
He shared a bit more about what makes this work so important to him, and how he has transformed that passion into his business’ mission:
“I just want to make sure that the men and young boys in my area can come in, feel comfortable, hang out and leave looking better and feeling better.”
Building Success Through Customer Satisfaction

“Basically I would say what was told to me by a 90-year-old gentleman a couple of years ago that I try to follow every day: Show up, shake their hand, smile, give them what they want and give them a little bit extra. As long as you have the door unlocked, they’ll keep coming in.”
