We were excited to learn all about The Original Barbershop and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Evan Valcourt.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes The Original Barbershop stand apart from its competitors. Evan told us about their unique and friendly atmosphere”
“It’s the full experience! We have the conversation and the friendship. We keep it like you’re hanging with the homies.”
He went on to tell us a bit more about their excellent staff, saying:
“I built the business upon respect and experience. Everybody that we work with has been barbering for 10 plus years. It doesn’t matter who you come to see. We celebrate each other’s success.”
We asked Evan about their business mission at The Original Barbershop, and he told us:
“Our mission is to give a quality, memorable service. We have a bunch of gifted guys that take pride in their craft. They come to work with a smile on their face, and they leave with a smile on their face. We keep people fresh, by the hour.”
Building Success, Online And Off
The Original Barbershop has earned a fantastic reputation, so we asked Evan how they have managed to grow their business and get their name out. They have been in business for 15 years, so referrals and word of mouth have been huge for their growth. Evan said that the internet has also been a big help, and they have used Instagram and an app called Booksy.

“You gotta build from the bottom. I started with three guys. Once I started building, people started leaving reviews.”
