Not Your Average Beauty Salon
Jodi Byberg, the owner of Meraki Salon, generously gave us a few minutes of her time to tell us a little more about her award-winning business and its spectacular online reputation.
The first question we had for Jodi was what is it that sets Meraki Salon apart from their competition in South Dakota. Jodi told us that she’s an educator for the products that she uses and sells; she goes to other salons and teaches them how to use it. She was trained differently than others in South Dakota, and she just got back from LA, where she was learning new stuff. She tries her hardest to be on top of the latest trends.
We also wanted to know what their mission is at Meraki Salon and how they work to make the world a better place. Jodi shared that she really wants people in her community to feel loved and accepted by trying to help support them as much as she can. Jodi is on the board for Food Crisis and stays on top of children’s events.
As a person of faith, Jodi focuses on Jesus, her family and her business, and her life goal is to help people and to be happy.
Building Success Through Customer Service
Jodi attributes Meraki Salon’s strong online reputation to the fact that she loves people, prides herself on customer service, follows the Golden Rule and gets to know her customers.
Outside of building a powerful online reputation, Meraki Salon has gotten their name out there mostly through referrals, but they’ve also done some Facebook promos and pop-up boutiques.
