Amber Stegman, the owner of Studio South, took some time to speak with us about her business’ remarkable online reputation.
The difference between Studio South and other salons in North Dakota is the environment, according to Amber. She told us, “A lot of the clients like our ambiance, we are always doing upkeep and doing redecorating. Everyone’s rooms are individual to their personality.”
As a family business, Studio South has always been a warm and welcoming place for their clients, but they have certainly expanded since the beginning. Amber said, “It was my mother in law that started the business and I took over six years ago. She had her own salon for many years and there were some girls that came to her and wanted to see if they would be interested in doing a booth rental business.”

When we asked about the Studio South secret to success, Amber told us it all comes down to service. She told us, “The biggest thing is how we treat our clients. If the person in your chair loves the experience they are going to refer someone else to you.”
