We wanted to learn all about KW Systems and its impressive online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with the owner and operator, Garret Walen.

“What makes us different than many other businesses is the family feel that we offer.
Garret went on to tell us that, because they are appointment-only, it allows them to sit down one-on-one with their clients and hear out all of their needs.

“Our business mission is to offer fair and balanced repair, as well as assist in the longevity of our clients’ devices. These days, with many manufacturers offering products with planned obsolescence, and some going as far as trying to stop owners from repairing their own devices, we do our best to bridge that gap and offer the community as many options as possible.”
Building Success by Putting the Customer First
Garret attributes KW Systems’ strong online reputation to their commitment to always prioritizing their customers above making a profit:
“The key to our online reputation is always putting the customer before profiting. Of course, profits are important, but there are times when things happen, and we have to bite the bullet and make sure that we do whatever it takes to keep the client happy without being taken advantage of. A lot of times, this doesn’t consist of any direct spending but rather being thoughtful and taking a couple of extra minutes.”

“We do online advertising of course, but something that’s important to us is to get out there and talk to people about their tech. We make sure not to be pushy, but Kailua is a smaller town where everyone talks to everyone. I know this sounds like a simple thing, but with how digitized everything has become, some startups aren’t even purchasing business cards at all anymore. We do not believe that is the best approach for our business model.”
