Not Your Average Jewelry Store
We were excited to learn all about Lewis Jewelers and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with Tim Lewis, who co-owns the company with his brother.
Tim and his brother started the business as a way to pay their way through college. They had been cutting and polishing gemstones since they were kids, and have been in business together for 44 years. Tim is an elder at the local church, and his brother has been the local mayor for 25 years. Tim told us:
“I live by the proverb: ‘A man’s reputation is worth much more than gold and silver.’ We have acquired a lot of gold and silver, and my reputation is worth much more. We still try to meet everybody’s expectations, and will do anything to do that. We usually hit the nail on the head on the first try.”
Building Success By Taking Care Of The Customer
Lewis Jewelers has earned a fantastic reputation, so we asked Tim how they have managed to grow their business and get their name out. Tim told us that his education is in marketing, but that their number one source of new business is referrals.
