Not Your Average Painting Company
We were excited to learn all about Shoreys Painting & Roofing and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Terry.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Shoreys Painting & Roofing stand apart from its competitors. Terry told us:
“I do quality work. I call people back when I say I’m going to call them back. …If I can’t arrive on time, I will call. I leave the job site cleaner than I found it. We keep the job site as clean as possible, and we clean up every night. Years of experience in painting helps me to do quality work, and we don’t do anything less than that. Our prices may be a little high, but when you want good work, you’ve got to pay for it. I’m very friendly and easy to get along with. I would never try to cheat anybody out. I go out of my way, and even if I lose money, I just make it right.”
We asked Terry about their business mission, and he said:
“First thing is that I put my trust in the Lord, and that’s what basically got me to where I am. I did have a drug and alcohol problem, but after I turned my life over to the Lord, things got a lot better. He keeps blessing me. Basically, I follow His rules, and I treat others like I want to be treated. I’m not perfect, but if you listen to what He has to say, you can’t go wrong.”

Shoreys Painting & Roofing has earned a wonderful reputation, so we asked Terry what he has done to grow and get his business’ name out. He told us about the importance of online reviews, saying:
“All the online reviews really tell a story. When people see them, when they see my reviews, they feel like they already know me before they even met me. When I get to their house, and when I first meet them, they talk to me just like we’re already friends already.”

“Always call the client. If they called you, get back to them as soon as possible, even if it’s to say that you can’t do it. There may be another job in the future, something else they want done. Always treat them like they’re the king. The Bible says, ‘Do your work unto the Lord, not as unto man.’ Treat everybody as God, basically.”
