Not Your Average Restaurant
We were excited to learn all about how The Boiler Room has been able to build such an outstanding reputation, so we sat down with the Chief Chef, Tim Nicholsen.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes The Boiler Room stand apart from their competitors. In Tim’s words, “We take big pride in fresh, farmed, and local ingredients as well as seasonal ingredients across the nation. We take advantage of the nation, but we also change our menu every day or as frequently as possible. That way, every time you come to The Boiler Room, it’s never the same menu. It’s always going to be different, and everything is subject to change based on seasonality or the best, freshest ingredients.”
When asked about how The Boiler Room makes the world a better place, Tim said, “I would say by using sustainable ingredients. We use local farmers, and at the end of day, we give back. We compost almost all of our waste that can be compostable. We give that back to the farmers; we recycle anything that is cardboard- or paper-related. At the same time, we educate people on good quality ingredients in food.”
Building Success By Being Present
There are many businesses out there that are looking to build as fantastic a reputation as The Boiler Room has managed to. We asked if Tim could share any expert advice with these companies. Here’s what he had to say:
“Being present on social media is a big part of it, but it goes back to just being hospitable to all guests that come in, regardless of their needs or what they’re looking for. Just really take care of them to the point where they are going to want to come back and tell people about it.”
