We had a chance to speak with owner, Alan McGee, about his business’ online reputation and success. Here’s what he had to say:
What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
I believe it’s a matter of letting the business take care of itself. Do great business and you’ll get great reviews. As the owner, you decide what kind of business yours is going to be. I work hard to be proactive and mindful of the benefits I provide my customers with.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
Our experience, for one — we’ve been in business for nearly 50 years. We’re very competitive in our industry, and we want to give our customers the best. You’ll find that all over the automotive industry there are good guys and bad guys. We want to be the good guys.
What is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
For our customers, we offer open communication. We start by letting them know what exactly is wrong with their vehicle, then move on to letting them know what repairs are necessary and when they can pick up the vehicle. We also work with charities like Toys for Tots.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
Most of our marketing is centered around the automotive industry specifically. We utilize multiple programs and take feedback through a questionnaire.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Always do what’s right for the customer and make sure to educate them as much as possible. Be clear and concise when explaining your process to your customers.
