That’s why we took some time to speak with the executive director, Marcia Byrd, to really figure out what Farrington Court does to stand out from the crowd.
“The longevity of the staff is a big indicator that we are different from others in our industry. Since we have been doing this for such a long time, we have [a level of] expertise and understanding so many others do not.” She said, when asked what the Farrington Court difference is, “I talk to my team all the time about how lucky we should feel. These residents chose to live with us and they pay for that, so we need to understand that they are our number one priority. We are so important to providing our residents with an extremely high quality of life. Everything we do shows we are committed to this work and are in it for the right reasons.”
Building Success By Understanding their Audience
“Our company is built around a younger demographic. We have a really good understanding of who our clients are — the children of the parent who chose to live with us. That generation will always look to the internet, first and foremost, before making such an important decision. We know that we need to have a focus on putting our best foot forward online.” Marcia said this is the secret to Farrington Court’s success. They focus fully on making sure the whole family is taken care of.
What advice did Marcia have for others that are trying to build an online reputation? “The biggest advice I can provide regarding your online reputation is to constantly be mining it. Look at your reviews every single day, and dig into what can be improved. It has to be a priority in today’s digital era ,and if it is not? That means you are already behind the eight ball. On top of that, you have to spend money on professionals who can improve your online presence. Don’t be afraid to spend the money when it comes to the perception of your business online.”
