Not Your Average Terramé Salon and Spa
Charles Johnson, the co-owner and manager of Terramé Salon and Spa, took a moment to chat with our team about his business’ outstanding online reputation.
As an award-winning business, Terramé Salon and Spa is certainly doing quite a few things right. When asked what it really is that sets them apart, Charles responded, “We are always up to date on new techniques. We spend hundreds if not thousands of hours on training. Knowing what we’re doing and how we deliver on that is very, very important to us to get the person the most out of whatever service they are getting.”
Charles and the rest of the Terramé Salon and Spa take immense pride in their work, in large part because they get to help people take a break from their busy lives. “We really create an environment to help people relax for a little bit,” he said. “We think by having people unwind and get off their electronics and all of those things to kinda help people relax and think about their life in general instead of being in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, that’s a piece of it. We also do hair and makeup and those kinds of things also, so they then help people feel good about themselves to hopefully create a friendlier atmosphere to the people that they are around.”
Building Success Through Community Involvement
In Charles’ eyes, the Terramé Salon and Spa secret to success has a lot to do with their community involvement. When we asked, he said it’s “The strong connection we have with the community. We really take part in a variety of ways, kinda connecting us to different organizations through charitable work and donations. We work with Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Museum of Art, and Huntsville Symphony. There are a lot of others, but those are the main ones we work with.”
This is Charles’ advice to other businesses that are working on their online reputation:
“Have a strong online presence; we’ve been doing this a long time, so I think what matters is that you are always doing what is right. As long as you are doing what is right over the longevity of your business, people will come and use your services. You have to build a trust relationship, so they know who you are and what you do and know that you are a reasonable business. You have to have a strong financial background to know where your money is all the time, and all that is very important to grow and maintain longevity you’re going to need that trust in the community.”
