We got right down to business, first asking about Gary’s company’s secret to success. “The biggest thing is word of mouth, going out and doing the job you are supposed to do, and not killing people on pricing,” he said. “I measure and show them the product and I don’t push the customer.”

Gary believes overall that people are good and that if you like what you do, you do a better job. Once a month he picks somebody out and does a free job for them. He finds someone that he knows can’t afford it, and installs carpet or flooring in their home or business. Gary’s advice to other businesses that want to build an awesome reputation? “Just listen to people and do the best you can. You can only do as well as you can do, and tell people the truth up front. If you tell the truth up front, you eliminate a lot of problems.”
