New Hampshire’s Top Rated Local® Funeral Homes & Services Award Winner: Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home

Top Rated Local® is pleased to announce that Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home is a 2019 award winner for funeral homes in New Hampshire!

If you’re looking for a funeral home that can guide you through the process with care and compassion, look no further than Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home.

Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home has received dozens of reviews on multiple verified sites with an average rating of 4.84 stars, earning them an outstanding Rating Score™ of 92.43 and a 2019 Top Rated Local award for ranking among the top five funeral homes in all of New Hampshire!

Here’s just one of their many five-star reviews:

“I cannot say enough good about Eric Rochette, who handled my brother’s arrangements in October 2012. Eric was kind, sensitive, caring and took care of everything with little guarantee of the money. It took me almost five years to pay the bill, and he never said a word. The circumstances around my brother’s death were very stressful. Eric was supportive and there at every turn. [He’s a] wonderful man. I met his father later, and he, too, is terrific, just what you need when a beloved family person dies. Thank you.” – C.H.

Not Your Average Funeral Home

Paul Rochette, owner of Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, generously gave us a few minutes of his time to tell us about this one-of-a-kind business and its award-winning online reputation.

The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that sets Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home apart from the many other funeral homes in New Hampshire. Here’s Paul’s response:

“We are family owned, and we take great pride in treating every family as though they are part of our family. And they truly all become family to us. We are fortunate to have an amazing staff. For each of us, this is not just a job; it’s a calling — a lifestyle. What that translates to for our families is that we care to our core about them, their loved one that has passed away and every detail that is involved in helping them say goodbye and honor their loved one. As times have changed, families’ needs and wants have changed as well. We do our best to adapt to current trends and new traditions.”

We also wanted to know why they do what they do at Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Paul had to say:

“Our mission is to serve the families in our community. We take great pride in helping ALL of the people in our community and tailor our services so that everyone, regardless of financial or social status, has the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved one.”

Paul went to add:

“On a more personal level, I have been fortunate to work with the youth in our community refereeing basketball and umpiring baseball. I was an NH State Representative for four years and currently sit on the State Board of New Hampshire Funeral Directors. As a business, the staff, my wife and I have volunteered our time at our local Senior Center, take part in the Power of Flowers (an organization that takes floral donations from families after the funeral service and makes arrangements that they deliver to the patients in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.) and make ourselves available 24/7 to guide, counsel and console.”

Building Success by Treating Each Family as They Would Their Own

When we asked Paul about Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home’s secret to such a strong online reputation, he said:

“We are grateful to every family that chooses to come to us, and to those who decide to leave recommendations. We do not ask our families to leave feedback on social media, such as Facebook, Yelp or Google. We have just been very fortunate that our families want to share their experience with others.”

Outside of building the kind of online reputation any business owner would envy, Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home has spread the word about who they are and what they do by advertising in the local Telegraph and in church bulletins, by working closely with the local police and fire departments and donating and sponsoring the programs they have in place, and this year, they’ve been honored by their local Senior Center to be invited to give information seminars.

Paul added:

“But honestly, treating each family that comes to us as we would our own and hoping that they tell their friends and family about their experience with us is our best form of marketing and how we have been able to continue to grow.”

Clearly, Paul knows a thing or two about growing a business and building an online reputation. Here’s his expert advice for the many other business owners out there:

“Listen to the people in your community and adapt your services to their needs. Don’t be afraid to work hard. Go above and beyond. Always be compassionate and show kindness. Be honest and fair. Take care of yourself, so that you will be at your best to serve others.”

Congratulations to the team at Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home for being a 2019 Top Rated Local award winner, and thank you so much, Paul, for taking the time to speak with us!
