Lori Windal, the administrator of Visiting Angels, took some time to chat with us about the business’ awesome online reputation.
First and foremost, we wanted to know how Lori and her team stand out from their competitors. She said, “We have a lot of experience within our office — we have a CNA, I’m an RN, and we have four others that are very experienced within healthcare. Our owner, Darren, is local; he and his family live here. We are committed to making sure the elderly are taken care of, and work with Veterans Affairs to make sure our veterans are taken care of. We work hard in recruiting our caregivers to make sure they are trained well and do an extensive background check, an extensive orientation, and ongoing training.”
Lori and the other members of the Visiting Angels team take immense pride in helping others. “Our mission is to be the community’s choice in personal assistance. The whole reason the owner bought this business is because he saw a need for the elderly population to be taken care of,” Lori told us. “He experienced this need with his father. Having that passion is important to him, and it’s important to me also. We make that one hour visit with someone the best hour. A lot of our clients don’t see anyone except our caregivers all day. We are able to give families peace of mind and take care of their loved ones when they aren’t able to.”
