We were excited to learn all about Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Louisville and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the Digital Marketing Manager, Mitch Massard.
The first thing we wanted to know was what it is that makes Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Louisville stand apart from its competitors. Mitch told us:
“We walk the walk, so to speak, and we care about [our clients’] businesses… Any way we can help support someone to grow their business or grow their company, we’ll do it. Our means of doing that just so happens to be through providing janitorial and commercial cleaning services. We love people, and we love helping people. We just do that through the medium of cleaning. If we can help your business grow by creating a better brand image and better first impressions for your customers when they walk through the door, then we take great pride in being able to help you live a better life.”

“We are very adamant in our customer service and about maintaining solid relationships and transparency with our customers. We actively engage them for the reviews by requesting them. It’s one of those things that, if you don’t ask, you won’t get it. We do a lot of surveys with our clientele to find out how we are doing. We get a lot of great feedback, and a lot of times when we get that good feedback, we highlight their responses and email it to them saying, ‘This is amazing feedback. We love what you said. Is there any way you could put this in a review to help us out?’ They are always willing to do so.”
In addition to building the kind of online reputation that any small business would envy, Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Louisville has spread the word about who they are and what they do by finding ways to give back to the community. Mitch said:
“This coming fall, we are actually going to be doing a lot in the community as far as replanting and going green. We’re going to be donating a percentage of our paper supply sales to a company here in Louisville that will be planting anywhere from 200 to 500 trees as part of a reforestation project. We will also be cleaning up some of the parks. When summer and springtime roll around, we’re going to go around and clean parks and put our money where our mouth is and really take care of our community, because we do care about the community and the cleanliness of everything in our city.”

“Be true to who you are; be empathetic to what the people are needing in today’s marketplace, and be transparent…. Know your ‘why,’ and stand on it. Why are you in business? Why are you doing what you’re doing? We aren’t cleaning because we love cleaning, that’s not why we’re here. We’re here because we love people. If the only way we can help somebody is to enhance their building, then we’re going to do that. If it’s to enhance a park by giving back the proceeds from our paper sales, then we’re going to do that. We’re here to help. Knowing your ‘why’ and standing on it is huge, and being able to convey that in a digital medium will only help.”
