What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
We do good work, it’s as simple as that. After every job, we follow up on our work to ensure that the client is always happy. We also ask our clients to leave reviews. They don’t always leave reviews, but we definitely appreciate it when they do!
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
What sets us apart from other landscapers is that we are an established company; we don’t just run our business out of our house like many companies in our field. We have an office location with a full staff ready to help our clients. Landscaping is an easy business to get into, and there are a lot of businesses that go under after only a few months. But we’ve been providing professional landscaping services since 1996!
Why do you do what you do?
When we first started, we were newly married and helping my husband’s farther out with a few jobs. After a few years of helping him, we decided to focus on growing our business into a full-time affair.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
In the beginning, we spread the word about our business mostly through word of mouth, but over the past few years, a lot of our business has been driven online. Reviews are a very important part of driving online traffic to your business.
We also have our trucks wrapped, so that we get exposure when people see us driving around town. Additionally, our big building helps to bring a lot of people in.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Stand behind your work, do good work that you’re proud of and don’t be afraid to ask for referrals and reviews — in fact, be bold in that aspect.
