Owner, Shane Walter kindly sat down with us and told us how his company built up such a great online reputation. Here’s what he had to say:
What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
The secret to our success is the unique design of our business with an infrastructure centered around our customers. Word of mouth is our bread and butter, so we do whatever it takes to make sure we’re giving the best to our clients.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We can boil this answer down to two main things: our people and our willingness to adjust. The people on our team really make us who we are. They all truly care about the work we do. As for our flexibility, we believe it is a vital part of running a great business. We look at everything from the customer’s perspective.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
I worked for a painting company while attending Colorado State University and discovered I had a passion for the industry. I really enjoyed the work and realized that it provides so much value to our community. I know I wouldn’t be happy pushing papers in a cubicle somewhere.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
Our marketing, like everything else we do, is approached with a ‘customer-first’ mindset. We are really good about asking for referrals and writing thank you letters to our clients. Since the bulk of our business comes from word of mouth, we also offer a referral reward program.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Make sure you are 100-percent passionate about the work you do, keep an eye on the big picture, and remember that you and only you determine where your company goes. Also, always ask for the referral.
