The first thing we wanted to know was what makes Flood City Cafe unique compared to the many other restaurants in Pennsylvania. Kristy told us that they’ve been around since 2014 and have a very loyal customer following. They pride themselves on knowing their regulars and are always ready to have a conversation with you when you come in. They are also a tourist destination for people visiting the city because of its history of floods.
When we asked what the secret is to such a solid online reputation at Flood City Cafe, Kristy pointed to the fact that all of their reviews are organic, which says something about the kind of service they offer.
Making the World a Better Place by Giving Back
We also wanted to know what their mission is at Flood City Cafe and how they work to make the world a better place. Kristy shared with us that they are very involved in their community and committed to giving back. They’ve participated in a Johnstown cleanup day; they’ve funded “Cup of Joe” —a program where people buy coffee for people who can’t afford it, and the proceeds go toward beautification and cleanup. They are always looking for ways to be more involved in the city and its local organizations.
