We wanted to learn all about Smokin Barrel BBQ and its incredible online reputation, so we took a few minutes to talk with the owner, Wayne Dinges.
The first question we had for Wayne was what is it that sets Smokin Barrel BBQ apart from their competition in Nebraska. Here’s Wayne’s response:
“It falls back to consistency and how personable we are. I always go out and speak to our customers; we talk to every table and ask how it was. It’s all about communication with our customers; our true concern is how our customers like our food. We let everyone try our food first.”
We also wanted to know what their mission is at Smokin Barrel BBQ and how they work to make the world a better place. Here’s what Wayne had to say:
“With the flooding, we donated 1,000 lbs of meat (over 2,000 meals) to all the people in need and all the first responders. That equals over a half pound of meat on their sandwiches. We opened our doors to anyone that needed help, and it was all free. One of the things that I live by is ‘courage, honor, and honesty.’”
Building Success by Caring About the Craft
Wayne attributes Smokin Barrel BBQ’s strong online reputation to the fact that he cares about his craft. He also told us that he encourages his customers to write reviews about his business, whether they’re good or bad.
