Not Your Average Restaurant

We were excited to learn all about Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Angie Tersiguel. Angie started our chat by telling us a bit about the history of Tersiguel’s. She told us that her husband’s family had owned a restaurant, Chez Fernand, for 44 years, but that it burned down in 1984. In 1990, they opened Tersiguel’s. In 1997, her husband bought the place from his parents, and in 2008, Angie officially became his business partner and owner of the restaurant.

We wanted to know was what it is that makes Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant stand apart from its competitors. Angie told us about their unique setting. When you eat at Tersiguel’s, you are joining them in their home and dining room, and you are treated like family for your entire visit. Angie said:

“We may know you by name or we may not, but we are going to treat you like we’ve known you for years.”

She told us that they are committed to a mission of always using the highest-quality ingredients as well as providing the best possible service. She told us a bit more about their commitment to quality:

“Dining has been changing a lot recently. People are wanting to see that you are using high-quality ingredients and organic ingredients. That was something that my in-laws were in tune with back in the 1980s, when it was uncommon. We have a small, local farm that is on the property, and from April to October, a majority of the greens and herbs we use come from that farm. Something that has become a fad now is something we’ve been doing for over 30 years!”

Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant has earned an extraordinary reputation over the years, and Angie told us that their secret strong reputation is thanks to their customers. She said:

“We have a passionate customer base. They are passionate about our family and history and the memories they have made here. They get excited about our food and wine. We try to create that excitement in our dining experience.”
