What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?

Our secret is purely a combination of customer service and happy employees.

We strive to make sure our entire team is passionate about helping others, and that they always enjoy their job. Our employees spend more time at work than at home, so it is imperative that we make it a fun and enjoyable workplace. We’ve found that, when we put in the time and effort to make work enjoyable for our employees, it translates into better customer service at every level, and it makes them more willing to put in the extra effort to make the client satisfied.

What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?

We understand that we are a company filled with humans, and because of that, mistakes and issues will happen. What makes us different is that we will go above and beyond to correct the issue and make it right. We’re not here for the short term, and our goal is to make a lasting impression on our community. We refuse to settle for mediocrity, and that shows up in all we do.

Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?

Our goal is to take everything one job at a time. A lot of times, we are interacting with a client during a traumatic time in their lives, so we need to take care in the way we handle the issue they might be having. It isn’t the most glamorous industry in the world — I have had women crying in my arms because everything they own is ruined. We need to understand that we are, often times, their first step on the path to recovery and normalcy again. That is a powerful spot to be in, and we need to do everything we can to make it the best experience possible.

Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?

We focus on making sure we have power partners. We team up with insurance agents, property managers, plumbers, etc. to make sure we are the first option that comes to mind when an issue arises. Most of our business comes from grassroots marketing at this point — a lot of shaking hands and kissing babies! Networking is key for us because we have to be the first company they think of when they need us.

What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?

The adage, “Doing the right thing is always the right thing,” is something of a mantra for me. You need to have a long-sight mentality and refuse to cut corners. Hopefully, you were taught right from wrong at an early age, so base your decisions on what you know inside is the correct choice. There are always going to be hurdles, so just keep putting your best foot forward.
