We also wanted to know what their mission is at Aurum Jewelers and how they work to make the world a better place. Paul told us about the many ways Aurum Jewelers gives back, including giving gift certificates to local charities, giving a percent of their profits to charity and writing out checks to worthwhile charities, including Albright Knox Art Gallery, Hospice, Foundation for Jewish Philanthropies, Pick of the Crop Ballet Company, Burchfield Penny Art Center, Jewish Family Services, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Gay and Lesbian Youth Services, Police Athletic League and Kaleida Health Care Systems.

Outside of building a powerful online reputation, Aurum Jewelers has grown through social media, advertising and photography, but according to Paul, they thrive on personal recommendations, word of mouth and their status as a family jeweler, passing down through generations and generations of families.

Paul also told us that they work hard to ensure that their reputation is a reflection of their values:

“The adage, ‘actions speak louder than words,’ is something we truly believe in. We make sure that we follow through with what we say we will do.”

We were excited to learn all about Namia Salon & Spa and how they have gotten where they are today, so we sat down with the owner, Aiman Alkurabi.

Namia Salon & Spa has been in business for 13 years and currently has a staff of eight people. We asked Aiman what it is that sets them apart from other salons. She told us about their personalized and service-oriented approach, saying:

“We are very guest service-oriented. We dedicate a good amount of time consulting with every guest that comes into Namia salon. We custom formulate each color for every individual. While the color processes, we give them a relaxing hand massage as well as a luxurious shampoo after.”

Aiman went on to tell us why it is so important for them to take care of their guests. She said:

“It is all about the guest experience, not ours. We want this to be a highlight in people’s lives and an escape.”
