Head groomer, Jennifer Ghioldi, took a moment to chat with us about her business’ online reputation and success. Here’s what she had to say:
What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
We really strive for a friendly and laid back environment. I get to know my clients and make sure their pets are comfortable while they are here. Our clients are great about submitting feedback because they see that we work so hard to make sure they are happy with our services.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
Most groomers have pet owners leave their pets for extended periods of time, which is hard on the pet and creates a sense of anxiety for them. We are really good about getting to them right away and getting them home quickly, so they don’t have a stressful experience. We are also open seven days a week, which is huge for pet owners that may not have a very flexible schedule.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
I really enjoy working with animals. As a young child, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I even spent time interning at a local vet, but realized it was more of a clinical relationship than I wanted with the animal. That is when I took an interest in grooming. I get to spend quality time with the animals, which is what I love about what I do.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
Right now, we’re really focusing on reviews mainly. We’re extremely careful about keeping our numbers manageable when it comes to bringing on new clients. It’s important that we’re able to accommodate our current client base without making them wait.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Do a really quality job and make sure your customers leave happy, it’s that simple. You can’t go wrong if you prioritize customer experience.
