What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
The number one thing that has helped us build such a strong reputation is our commitment to customer service. We also take great pride in serving our community, and our family has been doing so since 1977, which has helped us to build trust within the community.
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We pride ourselves in being a unique funeral home, one that offers personalized service based on how the individual lived. Our personalized services have ranged from veterans to steelworkers to bikers to cowboys, but no matter the service, we always try to make it memorable and unique. We also do everything on-site, which makes the process easier and more convenient for the families we serve.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
We are very active in community events, and we pride ourselves in doing our part to better our community. We participate in fundraisers that benefit the community, as well as events that raise money for the community. We see ourselves as more of a ministry than a funeral home in our community and in the lives of the families we connect with.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
Going above and beyond for our clients has led to many word-of-mouth referrals, which is the biggest part of our growth strategy. In fact, many of the families we serve are connected.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
It all comes down to the foundation of your business. Customer service is absolutely critical, and the customer always has to come first. Every aspect of your business has to be top-notch, and it will lead to a strong online reputation.
