Kep Klen is co-owned by husband and wife team Norman Beekman and Rafaela Casillas-Beekman. Norman took some time to discuss his business’ online reputation and commitment to service with us. When asked about his secret to success, he said, “We basically just do what we say what we’re going to do. There are too many people in this business that say and speak more than what they do. We end up getting jobs due to the fact that the customer was unsatisfied that they weren’t getting the service that they were paying for [with another company]. Our motto is ‘We want to earn your business every month.’ We don’t make them sign any long-term contracts. So, every month, we want to earn their business to do it again next month.”
Building Success Through Strategy and Service
Norman and his team have created an online reputation that allows them to come in above almost all other Colorado Janitorial companies, but that certainly didn’t happen without a lot of hard work and a little patience. Norman’s advice to other business owners goes as follows:
“Don’t expect miracles immediately. It takes a while to get the presence out there. Get known out there, show up on searches and stuff like that. It costs money to be recognized and just be prepared for that. A lot of people they think, ‘Oh, I give you $1000 a month to market my business and 2 months I haven’t seen anything come in the door.” It takes time. Wait it out. It will come. Do what you say you’re going to do… Just do it…”
