What is your secret to such a strong online reputation?
Our strong online reputation comes from years of working with people and building their trust. It’s all about providing honest work, you know?
What makes you different? In other words, if you had one minute to sell somebody on why they should choose you, what would you say?
We are able to make a connection with our customers because we are a very personal, family-owned business, and our customers feel that when they work with us. We work with residential customers, and we try to connect with them on their level. Our employees and our trucks are always clean. Customers want a friendly voice, a friendly face and to see the same person working on their yard — we provide all of that and more.
Family is very important to us, and we always make it a point to treat our employees with respect. The camaraderie we have with our employees has helped us build strong bonds with them, and it’s part of our formula for success. If your employees like the work they do, everyone will work better.
Why do you do what you do? In other words, what is your mission and/or how do you attempt to make the world a better place?
We like being outside and working with our hands. Another great thing about our work is that it’s not repetitive. We don’t have to do the same thing day after day.
Outside of building a strong online reputation, what else do you do to market and grow your business?
Referrals, word-of-mouth and online reviews are our bread and butter. We have a small service area that we’ve been serving for 20 years. Many of our clients have been with us from the start, and they spread the word about our services.
What advice do you have for other businesses trying to build a strong online reputation and grow their business?
Stick by your word and don’t do shoddy work. You have to stand by your product 100 percent. If the customer isn’t happy, you have to do everything you can to make it right.
