Kim Nguyen, the owner of Unique Jewels, took some time to speak with us about the business’ impressive online reputation.
Of course, one of the first things we wanted to know was what separates Unique Jewels from other jewelry stores in Texas. In Kim’s words, “We are family owned and operated. We deal directly with our customers. We’re a full-service jewelry store, so we can offer custom work. If they can dream it, we can make it. We are quality oriented; we may not have the biggest store around but everything we carry is a quality that is not mass produced. Some of our customers have been doing business with us for 3 generations.”
Kim and the rest of the Unique Jewels team are dedicated to being responsible stewards of the environment. “We use recycled materials and gemstones, we’re very conscious of sourcing,” she said. “Everything has to go through the correct channel.”
Building Success Through Trust
We asked Kim about Unique Jewels’ secret to success. She said, “The main thing is trust because we deal with heirloom pieces and whatnot. Jewelry is very personal and a lot of it is handed down through generations. We’ve been here 29 years so we’ve built that trust over a long period of time.”
